Enthusiastic response to Udny consultation
UDNY Community Council hosted a successful consultation last week, with members of the community invited along to examine plans for developments in the village to be funded by profits from the Community Turbine.
Udny Community Council Chairman Brian McDogall told the Times that around 100 people had turned up, and that volunteers had been recruited to take forward community projects.
“The two main project swe’re looking to take forward are our programme for heritage walkways, and proposals for a new hall in Pitmedden. We’re currently in talks with landowners regarding the walkways, and we want to get started on the plans for a new village hall as soon as possible. It won’t happen overnight, but the sooner we start, the better.”
