A DEDICATED management team is calling it a day after five years managing an Ellon business.

Nikki Keenan and Mel Kidd are selling the fitness business at Castle Park Industrial Estate after five years, during which they raised thousands of pounds for local good causes.

Speaking to the Times, Nikki said: “We’re moving on to a new project, and will be selling the business as a going concern. We’ve had three notes of interest thus far, and are expecting more. There’s a good, regular client base.

“We’ve still got most of the staff who started with us, and we’re hoping to hand the business over to someone who is as enthusiastic about it as we are.”

Curves has generated around £8,400 for local charities since the pair opened the business in 2008.

Nikki added: “We’ll be waiving our joining fees over the coming weeks in exchange fior a bag of shopping, whcih will be donated to local charities.”
