Breeders from Udny and Dufftown took the top titles at Aberdeen & Northern Marts Suffolk and Texel rams show and sale at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie.

Kevin Bruce, of C & M Bruce, Tillyeve, Udny, won the Suffolk championship while Scott Milton ,of S & R Milton, Tullochallum, Dufftown, took the Texel title in the event, which was sponsored by agricultural suppliers Towns & Carnie.

Show judge Alan Rae, Mains of Orchardstown, Udny, selected a ram lamb as Suffolk champion, which later sold for £320. The Suffolk reserve was another ram lamb from Graeme Christie, Newton of Balquhain, Pitcaple, which also sold for £320.

The Texel reserve champion was a shearling from George and Melvin Stuart, Milltown of Birness, Ellon, which sold for £480.

Top price was £700 for a Suffolk shearling from J.D. Lyon, Wanford, Banff.
