A STUDENT has been giving Ellon Rotarians an account of an exchange visit to Thailand organised by the club.

Kate Davidson, from Tarves, and a friend spent a few weeks with families in Bangkok during the autumn.

The short-term exchange was arranged by Ellon club member Bob Duncan.

Two Thai families will make a return visit to Ellon in the summer.

It is the latest in a number of exchange trips organised by the Rotarians.

Kate, an S6 pupil at Meldrum Academy, spoke of her stay in Bangkok at a recent Rotary meeting.

Club president Forbes Hamilton said she had thoroughly enjoyed the trip and members had found her talk very interesting.

He added that Kate’s visit highlighted the value of such exchanges.
