HADDO Country Park is set to receive a £2million facelift.
A report went before the Formartine Area Committee outlining the planned regeneration of the park this week.

The project would include the restoration of designed landscapes, upgrading and relocating play areas and the development of a programme of events.

The committee report stated: "There is no doubt that a rejuvenated Haddo would have the potential to make a significant contribution to the tourism portfolio of the North east."

Haddo Country Park currently attracts 225,000 visitors a year.
Around £1million of the funding for the project is to come from Heritage Lottery Funding, while the council will contribute almost £500,000 and would be spread over six years.

The remaining cash will come from a range of other bodies.
