The free event was organised by Aberdeenshire's Youth Forum and the Young Scot Dialogue Youth initiative, and was held at Thainstone, Inverurie.

The event was aimed to promote and celebrate the work and activities of young people.

Entry was open to all and kicked–off at 11.08am until 4.08pm with young people between the ages of 12 and 26 displaying their achievements, skills and talents, using music and dance.

Five local bands provided entertainment, Delayed Reaction, Famous Ape, The Monday Thing, Velvet Audio, and Sonic Stride (who recently supported The Macdonald Brothers).

As well as live music, performances from local youth dance groups and DJs took place throughout the day and allowed young people to have a go on the decks themselves.

Other activities included a bungy run, sumo wrestling, bucking bronco, gyroscope, climbing wall and a driving simulator.

For those who prefer computer games, there was a gaming competition with people competing to win one or two Wii consoles which were up for grabs.

Alongside all of the fun activities, various partner agencies were exhibiting on the day such as Grampian Police, Duke of Edinburgh, Grampian Fire and Rescue, Young Scot, Volunteer Development Scotland and Careers Scotland.
