ELLON FC cruised to an 8-1 win in Buchan Welfare League's derby game last Monday, which saw Park fire hom a hat-trick, Keith get a brace and goals from Beaton, Bartlet and Sinclair, with Williams grabbing the consolation for Merc FC
Mintlaw Utd had struggling New Pitsligo as visitors and they continued to score goals freely, scoring nine with top scorer Robertson grabbing three, taking his tally to 55 so far this season.
Beagrie and Jamieson got two each, while Skene and Burn
ett completed Mintlaw's scoring. Wallace scored for New Pitsligo with an own goal wrapping up their scoring.
Balmoor pushed Longside all the way with both sides having two penaltie, but Longside edged home by 4-2 with Bain and Watt scoring two each, and Rhynd and Ritchie getting the goals for Balmoor.
Methlick went to Hatton knowing only a win would keep their title hopes alive and were two up at half time and went on to score four more in the second half with French getting a hatrick, Bonner grabbing two, and goals from Taylor and Malcolm.
It looks like the league will go down to the last games with Methlick needing to win both their games and hoping that Ellon can do them a favour when visiting Longside.
In the league on Thursday, New Pitsligo finished their season on a low note after Ellon FC put four past them without reply with Park scoring all four goals.
Merc FC were awarded all three points due to Hatton failing to feild a team, while there were 14 goals at the Cuminestown v Ardallie game with Cuminestown hitting Ardallie for eleven with hatricks from Smith and Simpson, and one apeice from Anderson, Singer, Morrison, Maniukiewicz and Chapman. Replying for Ardallie were Finnie with a brace and one from Sherwood.
Friday's games saw Mintlaw Utd and New Deer share six goals in a 3-3 draw with Robertson getting two and Lawson one for Mintlaw, and for New Deer was Crighton, Strachan and Milne.
