The Vintage Car Rally is coming to Fraserburgh this Sunday, June 2, with historic vehicles, craft stalls and a host of other attractions.
The Vintage Car Rally and Craft Fair starts at 12noon and is taking place at Fraserburgh Leisure Centre.
Now in its 22nd year, this year’s show is to have over 530 entrants. The cars on show will range from a 1913 Model T right through to motors from the 2000s. As well as trucks, buses and tractors, there will be a display of farming from yesteryear.
Keeping the crowds on the edge of their seats will be the Inch Perfect Trials Display team who are putting on a motorcycle trials show for all the family.
Another highlight of the day is the Nimrod MR2 XV240, which will be on display. The aircraft has a wingspan of 35 metres and a maximum speed of 575mph. By the end of its career, the Nimrod had flown over 20,000 hours and taken part in numerous exercises around the world.
There will also be a country run on Sunday morning, which will take in Strichen, New Pitsligo, New Aberdour, Rosehearty and Sandhaven and Pitullie. Other attractions include a WRC rally car and of course craft fair tables, which will include new crafters this year. Commenting, organiser James Gray said: “I hope everyone comes along and enjoys what’s on offer.”
Everyone is encouraged to come along and organisers have asked that the public be patient coming and going as there may be delays due to the event.
The public are also reminded not to park in spaces allocated to blue badge holders unless they hold the badge.
