DAWGS Competition winner to be announced
ORGANISERS behind the Ellon Times and Inverurie Herald’s DAWGS Competition have hailed the impressive number of entries received.
A number of the area’s cutest pooches and rescue dogs have entered (or been entered, as the case may be...!) in the hope of winning some of the fantastic prizes on offer.
Organiser Candace Boamah told the Times that the organisers had been impressed with the response, and that judging will take place next week to decide winners in two categories - Cutest Canine and Best Rescue Dog. Winners of either category can expect to be eligible for a number of prizes donated by local companies in aid of the scheme.
Candace said: “DAWGS volunteer Isabel Craik will be looking at the entries at some point next week, and we should be able to make an announcement of the winner presently.”
The competition is designed to raise awareness of DAWGS, and the work that the charity does in the city and shire rescuing and re-homing canines who, for whatever reason, have fallen on hard times.
