Final preparations are under way for Ellon and District Art Group’s annual exhibition.
The two-day event opens in the Kirk Centre’s Upper Room tomorrow (Friday) morning, when the main exhibition will feature around 100 hung paintings.
Group chair Sheila Noble said: “All are new this year and there is a wide selection of subject material, including popular local scenes.
“The Silent Auction has proved a favourite with nearly 50% of the paintings sold and we are hoping for a similar take up this year.”
The auction will close to bids at 4pm on Saturday and then the raffle, providing important funding for the group, will be drawn.
Chris Woodthorpe, of the organising committee, said: “We also have photography, stained/fused glass, fashion jewellery, wood, pyrography, embroidery and greeting cards, all of which would make ideal purchases for people themselves or Christmas and birthday gifts.”
The exhibition will open from 8am until 8pm tomorrow and 8am until 4pm on Saturday.
