Equality issues examined

A SERIES of events will be held to to find out what Aberdeenshire residents believe priorities should be in tackling discrimination and creating equal opportunities for everyone.

The council is developing a multi-equality scheme to ensure no one is treated differently because of age, disability, pregnancy and maternity, sex; sexual orientation, race, including Gypsy Travellers, gender reassignment, religion or belief and marriage or civil partnership.

As part of the process, it wants to hear what equality issues people feel are affecting their community.
