ORGANISERS at Ellon Academy are getting set for the school’s annual Evening of Entertainment - and there are still tickets available for those interested in attending!
The event, scheduled to take place this Friday (September 28), sees performances from talented local musicians and entertainers aimed to raise money for the school. Businesses and community groups are invited to take tables at what organiser Helen O’Brien has described as a ‘fantastic evening’.
This year, the event will include a hot meal for participants, a complimentary glass of champagne, nibbles, teas and coffees - as well as musical performances from professional bands and musicians, and a charity auction.
Speaking to the Times, Helen said: “We have sold more than half of the seats at the event now, but we still have a couple of tables left to fill up.
“We’re hoping that the concert will bring the community’s businesses and social groups together - last year was very successful, and we’re hoping to top that success this year. We’ve been inundated with support from staff and pupils at the academy.”
Last year’s event raised more than £7,000 for the school.
Anyone interested should contact Helen O’Brien on firstname.lastname@example.org. Tickets cost £25 and can be purchased at Ellon Academy’s school office.
