Gordon Art Exhibition, which takes place in March, is going digital.

Artists will be able to register online, access information and download their hanging labels.

Wherever possible, mailings to artists will be in electonic format, but those that don’t have access to computers will still receive hard copy mailings, as in previous years.

Marian Reid, who is a member of the organising team said: “This is a transition year for us. I’m hoping we will have a great year with lots of entries from established artists as well as new.

“Gordon Art Exhibition is a great forum for exhibiting your art for the first time. We are very inclusive and encourage first time exhbitors to have a go. They will learn the skills of exhibiting and they can also become actively involved by volunteering as stewards or as part of the set-up team.”

Works are accepted in 2D or 3D format, in any medium, but there will be some changes from previous years. Marian continued: “This year there will be no special theme - all works of art will come under the ‘open’ category but the junior section will be retained.

“We would encourage all artists to think about the exhibition, get their exhibits organised, visit our website, www.gordonarts.co.uk, our facebook page and follow us on Twitter. We are also linked to Gordon Forum for the Arts”
