PEOPLE are being invited to step back in time at spectacular weekend at Castle Fraser on Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22.
As well as a breath-taking jousting tournament, there will be archery demonstrations, birds of prey flying displays, sword fighting, authentic campsites, medieval cookery demonstrations and much more.
The main attraction will be the world-famous jousting stunt team, the Knights of the Damned, presenting new for 2012 their ‘Olympic Games - Joust of the Home Nations’. It will feature knights from Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales.
Also at the castle will be the Scottish Archery Association. Their demonstration this year will include a competition for archers shooting ‘Olympic Recurve Freestyle Bows’.
The Macdonald Academy of Arms will present thrilling demonstrations of live swordmanship with trained swordmen. There will also be a chance to see two men at arms battle with a long sword in glistening full-plate armour and discuss sword techniques from the 15th century.
