Ladies Circle plan Halloween party in aid of miscarriage charity

ELLON and District Ladies Circle are organising a Halloween party in support of the Miscarriage Association.

The event will be held in the Guide Hut, Station Brae, on Saturday, November 3, from 2-4pm.

It will be for P1-4 children, accompanied by an adult, and will include a magic show by award-winning Allan’s Magic and a disco.

The party will also involve a best dressed boy and girl competition and there will be a tuck shop.

Ladies Circle vice-chair Mara Sturton said: “We do a lot of different fundraising, but obviously the funds raised from this party

will go to the Miscarriage Association.

“It is for families with P1-4 children and I’m sure there will be many families who have been touched by this at some stage, whether it is themselves or someone they know.

“It is, we think, a very good cause and something that does relate to families everywhere.”

Mara explained that it was the first time they had organised such a party, adding:

“Rather than mixing up the age groups we thought we would concentrate on the younger group first and if it is a success, we would roll it out and probably do two separate parties next year - P1-4 and P5-7.”

Tickets for the event are available from Scallywags Shoes and Co, 17 Market Street. Ellon, or call Donna on 07503850568 or Gill on 07974424513.

They are priced £4 for a child plus £1 per adult.
