“We’re really excited about playing the Lemon Tree,” said the band’s frontman Steven Milne. “We’ve always had a great time at the venue and playing there means a lot to us.

“And it’ll be excellent to finally let everyone hear all the new songs - we’ve been in hiding working on them since last year so this will be a big night for us.

“We’re going to do our best to make sure it’s a great night.”

With a reputation for staging a great live show, The Little Kicks are always a big hit at the Lemon Tree and have recently moved onto the national and international stage.

Last year, the four-piece band wowed the crowds on the main stage at Wizard Festival and also played successful shows in Germany and Japan. They have previously toured across the UK in their own right and played at many of the major Scottish festivals such as T in the Park, Connect and Belladrum to a great acclaim.

Over time, they have shared stages with the likes of Foals, The Vaccines, Frightened Rabbit, Glasvegas, Maximo Park, Mystery Jets, Errors, The Kooks, Editors, The Macabees and many more. As well as recording live sessions for XFM and BBC Radio Scotland, they have also been featured on national radio by both Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson. Their debut album Boxing Clever was very well-received in the Scottish media and further afield.

A free download single has also now been made available online on the band’s Bandcamp - http://thelittlekicks.bandcamp.com/ - and facebook pages.
