Preparations are well under way for the 21st Gordon Art Exhibition to be held in Inverurie’s Town Hall from Friday March 23 to Tuesday, March 27.

The new exhibition team comprising Marian Reid, Jacqui Maconochie and Neil Russel have been busy sending out information to previous contributors.

Marian, who will oversee the hanging the works during the exhibition said: “The team is looking forward to an excellent show of exhibits from artists who live anywhere within Aberdeenshire. The annual display in the Town Hall is always a riot of colour and creativity and a real tonic after the winter months.”

On a note of encouragement for new exhibitors, she continued: “Please note that this is an open exhibition and is non-selective, so if you have been thinking of exhibiting do have a go - put your toe in the water, you will be most welcome.

“Whatever your tastes, whether you are an exhibitor or someone who enjoys looking at original art, you will be sure to find something of interest at the Gordon Art Exhibition, and there will be an opportunity to purchase one of the unique pieces.”

The Gordon Art Exhibition is a community event and is visited by hundreds of people from near and far over the five open days. There will also be an talk given by an experienced local artist who will encourage discussion.
