Ellon Rugby Club prepared for the new season at the weekend by sprucing up their facilities.

Players of all ages, parents, and members old and young turned up at the Meadows to lend a hand.

Gareth Kemp, club vice-president and junior head coach, said: “It was fantastic to have so many people down to help the club. We got much more work done than I originally thought and the place really does look amazing.”

The volunteers strimmed all the banks, weeded supporter areas, cleaned out changing rooms, painted the ceiling, walls and floor and mended what was needed.
