The Arlene Penny School of Dancing took a group of nine girls from Oldmeldrum and Pitmedden to perform at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End as part of a Class Talent event.

The theatre, which normally shows the Phantom of the Opera, took a break for an evening to allow the girls to display two specially choreographed Highland dance routines, along with other dance schools from across the UK.

Months of planning by dance teacher Arlene Penny, the girls and their parents also involved major fundraising to get them to London. The dance school runs in Pitmedden and Oldmeldrum.
