Them Beatles to play New Inn

A WELL known tribute band is set to perform in Ellon for a second time, to raise funds for a local sports club.

Them Beatles, who performed in Ellon last year, will grace the stage at the New Inn on January 28, with a selection of hits from one of the world’s most popular bands.

Organiser Eddie Middleton, who represents GlenYthan Badminton Club, told the Times that it promises to be a fantastic evening for young and old alike.

“Interest in The Beatles is on a rise at present following the launch recently of the new Re-mastered albums and Rock-band themed Wii game,” he said. “Their music continues to attract universal appeal even 40 odd years later. A whole new generation of fans are emerging that will ensure that demand for Beatles music, merchandise and acts such as Them Beatles will continue to grow.

“The members of Them Beatles are perfectionists who research and rehearse the material with intricate detail, ensuring a live show of remarkable authenticity is presented to the audience. Those people lucky enough to get tickets last time were treated to two amazing sets which had the dance floor full and the audience screaming for more.”

GlenYthan Badminton Club are hosting the event to raise funds for their new junior club, and to benefit a local charity. To book tickets, contact the New Inn Hotel, Ellon on 01358 720425.
