Two famed mouthy and brutally honest stand-up comedians are heading to the North East this autumn as part of national tours.

Welsh comedy sensation Rhod Gilbert will be at Aberdeen Music Hall on Sunday, September 2, with his new live show The Man with the Flaming Battenberg Tattoo. Meanwhile, Award-winning comic Andi Osho is to make her city debut at the Lemon Tree Lounge on Sunday, November 4, with her fierce dissection of the perils and pitfalls of dating in the hilarious All the Single Ladies.

“There are two famously funny people and we know from experience that Aberdeen audiences love a laugh” said Aberdeen Performing Arts press manager Joyce Summers.

Rhod is a television regular, hosting his own series for BBC 1 called Ask Rhod Gilbert and appearing frequently on Live At The Apollo, 8 out of 10 Cats and Would I Lie To You? as well as headlining Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.

Andi has made a similarly big splash on the comedy scene, with appearances on Mock The Week, Tonightly and most recently Ch4’s new topical show, Stand Up For The Week.

Tickets for both comedy gigs go on sale to the general public this Friday (March 2) online at www.boxofficeaberdeen.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.
