UBUNTU offers Fairtrade festivities

There will be a special late night shopping opportunity at the Acorn Centre, on Inverurie’s West High Street on Thursday, October 27 when UBUNTU, the Centre’s Fairtraide outlet will be open from 6.30pm – 8.30pm.

Shoppers will be invited to enjoy a complimentary cup of tea, coffee or a glass of Fairtrade wine while they take the opportunity to browse over a wide and varied selection of Christmas gifts and Christmas treats.

Anne Groves from UBUNTU said: “This is an opportunity for people to give something different this Christmas, a Christmas present which family and friends can enjoy all the more because they know the producer is getting a fair price for their work.”

This year the Meaningful Chocolate Company have introduced the first ever set of Fairtrade Christmas tree decorations which carry images of the characters of the Nativity. The hope is that this will enable the family Christmas tree to be a bit more ‘meaningful’. There will also be the usual range of crafts, jewellery, food, paper products and Christmas cards.
