As work continues to install a new cinema projector for Ellon’s Cinema, Victoria Hall is set to host a variety of events and performances over the next few weeks.

Hall Volunteers are currently working hard to ensure the new cinema projector is installed and ready for use by the end of the month.

The first screening of the new projector will be the film Minions on Sunday, August 30 at 10.30am.

Other aspects of the Hall have also been recently renovated including the lavatories and the chimes of the clock tower which were restored earlier in the summer.

The hall are also planning to display new flower boxes on the railings outside as well as installing a large outdoor lamp over the entrance to the hall.

On the afternoon of Sunday, August 30, the Scottish Accordion Music Group will perform an array of their songs from 2.30pm to 5pm.

There will also be a raffle during the afternoon.

Tickets for the music event cost £5 and are available at the door.

Volunteers at Victoria Hall expect this to be a popular event.

Following on from their performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival production company, Stoirm Og, will showcase their play, Spectretown, in Victoria Hall on Saturday, September 19.

Tickets cost £9 or £7 for concession tickets and they are available from J&K Shoes and The Chocolate Bar.

The popular Ythan Hairst Reel Nicht will be taking place on Saturday, September 26 from 7.30pm to midnight.
