The only thing better than a first-rate concert by one of the best singers in the country, would be to have the event in your own front room – and that’s just what Scots sing-songwriter Horse MacDonald is offering.
For she is giving fans the chance to win an at-home performance of music from her Home album ahead of her concert at Aberdeen’s Lemon Tree on Wednesday, December 4.
“It could be someone’s home, a friend’s home, a nursing home or a hospice? “ said Horse.
“Just tell us why you think I should come and play for you or a friend or a family member - who deserves a special visit? – and as long as it’s within a 10-mile radius of the Lemon Tree I’ll come along and sing for you on December 4!”
To win the At Home Gig, just send your entry to firstname.lastname@example.org, or apply on facebook or twitter at www.facebook.com/horsemusic www.twitter.com/horsemusic.
Described as Scottish, gay and brilliant, Fife-born Horse has a huge following and owns one of the finest voices of modern times, soul and intelligence combined.
On the album Home, her vocal brilliance is sewn into some of the best music of her career - songs like Careful and Godbox combine keyboards and melody, bursts of fiddle and synthesizer to create a soulful pop which thankfully lacks the X Factor bombast of most 21st century r’n’bloat.
Tickets for the December 4 gig at The Lemon Tree are available online at www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.
