Improvements to drainage on the busy A90 at the Ellon bypass will take place next week
The work, over four nights, starts on Monday and is due to be completed on Thursday.
The section of road is used by more than 12,000 vehicles each day and the project will help alleviate problems caused by heavy rain.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place during the work, which will be carried out between 7.30pm and 6.30am.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East representative, said: “These works will address drainage issues on this section of the road which will help improve the general condition and safety of the route for road users.
“We’ve taken steps to minimise disruption by scheduling the drainage improvements to take place overnight and avoid working during the busier Friday or Saturday nights.”
