An open meeting will be held to discuss current progress and future development of plans for allotments and a community garden in Aden Country Park.
Aden Community Allotments Association (ACAA) have organised the meeting for Thursday, June 20, at 7pm, in the Aberdeenshire Farming Farming Museum.
The group are now ready to start the project after identifying the land, getting approval from the Buchan Area Committee, receiving the appropriate planning permission, and successfully securing funding totalling more than £77,000 from the Keep Scotland Beautiful - Climate Challenge Fund (CCF).
It has already generated interest within the local community.
Leigh Minion, ACCA chairperson, said: “We are going to create a fantastic allotment and community garden site in Aden Country Park.
“The site will have a community garden and approximately 42 different sized allotments.”
