INVERURIE Music present the second appearance in the North East Scotland by the talented young Latvian pianist Arta Arnicane in Kemnay Church Centre this Friday, January 18 at 8pm.

The programme will include: Joseph Haydn: Sonata in A flat major, Hob.XVI/46; Claude Debussy: Suite Bergamasque; Robert Schumann: Waldszenen, Op.82; and Manuel de Falla: Fantasia Baetica.

Latvian pianist Arta Arnicane was born into a musical family and has studied piano at specialized music institutions in Moscow, Riga, Glasgow and Zurich.

Her musical talent has been encouraged with several major scholarship awards, allowing her to graduate with the Master of Music Degree from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama (2004), Latvian Academy of Music (2008) and Zurich University of the Arts (2010).

During the 2011/2012 season, Arta played over fifty concerts and appeared at some of the world’s best known concert halls such as Megaron, Thessaloniki and Tonhalle, Zurich andhas appeared at more than 20 Scottish music societies.

She teaches regularly in Zurich as well as giving master classes abroad.
