Ellon’s Thistle Catering Services have been crowned Independent Caterer of the Year 2015 at at the Scottish Wedding Awards.

They won in the North East Region category at the awards ceremony held recently at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow.

With a public voting system, the Scottish Wedding Awards is a celebration of local talent and winners are a true reflection of quality and customer service as chosen by members of the general public.

Winners are nominated by devoted clients that have experienced exceptional service.

Nominations came in from far and wide for the event which is a sparkling evening in the Scottish Wedding event calendar attended by guests who support the industry making wedding days the best they can be.

Thistle Catering who moved to premises in Ellon 18 months ago now operate a central production kitchen providing catering to the wedding industry as well as the private and corporate sector.

From small beginnings, an empty industrial unit, the business has grown and now operate a fully fledged one stop “hotel service”.

The company provides all the hotel services required by its clients in any location of choice, offering event management, cater hire, licensed bars as well as event staff.

They also provide exceptional food and drink for all kinds of occasions, from private dining and corporate events, to business lunches.

The company has a diverse range of menus and pride themselves on the ability to produce any type of food for any occasion.

Clients can choose from a range of pre determined set menus, or if preferred, bespoke menus can be designed to tailor exact requirements.
