Barratt Homes site staff at the award-winning Castlewell development in Ellon wore pink in order to raise awareness of breast cancer on Friday, October 23.

October 23 was the national fundraising event, Wear It Pink Day, which helps to support and raise money for research into breast cancer.

Wear It Pink Day is part of the national Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

More than a dozen site managers, brick-layers and apprentices joined Barratt North Scotland in showing their support by wearing bright pink high-vis jackets and hard hats.

Several office staff members also sported pink T-Shirts and matching tutus to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Now.

Commenting, sales director at Barratt North Scotland, Mike Cowie, said: “Not only is Wear It Pink Day great fun, it is a fantastic cause that raises awareness of breast cancer which affects thousands of people across the UK and beyond.

“It is great to see our staff members participating and supporting the cause and we hope that our campaign will encourage many more people to get involved and support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”
