SUE Ryder is starting 2011 with a bang and encouraging people to join them by becoming involved with the charity and taking on the Baker Hughes 10k in Aberdeen in May.
The Baker Hughes 10k is the biggest road race in the North East of Scotland and is open to all runners of all abilities, from serious atSue hletes to first timers. Every mile run for Sue Ryder will allow the charity to support more people living with conditions such as Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis, acquired brain injury and stroke at their care centre, Dee View Court, in Kincorth.
As a nominated charity, Sue Ryder has a number of guaranteed charity places for this popular running event and places go quickly, so get in quick to secure yours.
Helen Hamilton, area fundraising manager for the North of Scotland said: “The Baker Hughes 10k is such an exciting event and the atmosphere on the day is electric. By joining Sue’s Crew and pledging to support our services, you can help our residents at Dee View Court at the same time as getting fit and having fun.”
Don’t worry if you’ve already got your place, there’s still room in the Crew for you! Every runner will receive a personalised service from Sue Ryder, including support with fundraising and training advice when you need it.
If you would like to take up the challenge for Sue Ryder this spring, please contact Helen Hamilton on 07810 856883 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
