Boost for Ellon BB company

The 1st Ellon Boys Brigade Parents and Friends Association Committee have thanked all those who supported the Christmas Card fund raiser and coffee morning. A total �6,091 was raised over the two weekends at the coffee morning and the for delivery of the Christmas cards around the town.

THE 1st Ellon Boys’ Brigade are celebrating a festive windfall after two fundraising events brought in nearly £7,000.

The company organised their annual Christmas card collection and delivery service, and a coffee morning.

Captain Dennis Chalmers said they were delighted with the sum raised from the two events.

He told the Times: “The 1st Ellon Boys’ Brigade Parents and Friends Association Committee would like to thank all those who supported the Christmas card fundraiser and coffee morning.

“The Association would also like to thank all the volunteers who helped out.”

Mr Chalmers said the funds would help pay for minibus upkeep and activities and equipment for the boys.
