Aubin celebrate Queen’s Award

The recent achievements of Ellon firm, Aubin Group, were celebrated when the company was presented with their Queen’s Award last week.

Aubin Group was awarded the Queen’s Award for International Trade in recognition of their growth of overseas sales of innovative chemical solutions.

The Lord Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire, James Ingleby, presented the award to Chief Executive Officer, Paddy Collins, during the company’s celebration at their UK headquaters in Ellon’s Castlepark Industrial Estate last Thursday, August 20.

The company was presented with a certificate, a glass trophy and they are able to proudly display the Queen’s Award logo for the next few years.

Mr Collins recently attended a reception hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

Mr Collins said: “It is really exciting for us all.

“I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would meet the Queen.

He added: “We’ve been very pleased to be based in Ellon and it’s really useful for business.”

Aubin Group is one of Ellon’s leading employers and has hired around 25 new staff members since 2013.

Aubin Group have also provided around five or six job positions for young graduates over the last few years.
