And today (Thursday) the company’s achievement will be recognised at a celebration at its UK headquarters in Ellon’s Castlepark Industrial Estate.

Chief executive officer Paddy Collins will receive a presentation from Aberdeenshire’s Lord Lieutenant.

Mr Collins recently attended a reception hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

He said: “I feel extremely honoured to have met Her Majesty. It felt like a stamp of approval on our business of developing and delivering reliable chemical solutions.

“We have worked hard to ensure that our chemical solutions are effective for our clients, and strive to deliver excellent service across the globe.”

Established in 1986, Aubin has subsidiaries in Dubai and Houston.

The firm has enjoyed an increase of more than 100 per cent in export earnings in the last three years and with the support of local partners, now exports to over 16 countries, across all the major oil and gas producing regions of the world.

The Middle East is currently the company’s biggest international market, bringing in 45% of sales, and further expansion is planned in the region.

Aubin is in the process of opening a subsidiary in Houston to support new US-based customers with services in pipelines, cementing and buoyancy products as part of the continuing growth strategy.
