N-east training firms announce new package

Two specialist training providers in the North-east have announced a new working alliance to offer enhanced packages to clients.

Ellon-based ABRRAS and Mintra Training Portal’s new blended learning portfolio capitalises on Mintra’s specialism in eLearning courses and ABRRAS’ strength as a provider of practical training.

Mintra is one of Europe’s largest providers of learning, training and competency for the oil and gas industry.

Its portfolio covers more than 300 eLearning courses, blended training, and practical training.

UK managing director Peter Conner said: “We have seen an increase in the number of clients interested in our blended courses since we opened our purpose-built training centre in April, 2014.

“We already offer a number of courses which can be offered as blended training, however our alliance with ABRRAS will undoubtedly strengthen our offering further.

“We hope to add a new dimension to the training that ABRRAS provides.”

ABRRAS is a management, training and consultancy firm. With a vast array of experience across a wide range of industries, they provide specialist support in crisis management, emergency response, health and safety services, media training and environmental services.

ABBRAS commercial director Cherly Jones said: “We are excited to be a part of this new market offering, which brings together the best of both learning environments.

“Combining eLearning with practical learning will ensure delegates can apply the online theory to real-life situations.

“We see a bright future ahead for this type of learning.”
