The Post Office is proposing to introduce Mobile Outreach services to restore Post Office services to Fyvie and Udny.
The Mobile Outreach Service, whereby a nearby Subpostmaster provides a service at set times each week, would be operated by the postmaster from Turriff Post Office.
The mobile service for Fyvie will operate from Fyvie British Legion, School Hill, Main Street, Fyvie, AB53 8Q on Monday between 11:30am and 12:30pm and from Car park opposite Co-op Store, Main Street, Fyvie, AB53 8PB; Wednesday; 11:30am to 12:30pm and Friday 9am to 10am.
The Udny mobile service will operate from Tarves Road, Pitmedden, AB41 7NY on Tuesday; 9:30am to 11:30am and Thursday; 2pm to 3pm.
To accommodate the new mobile outreach services there will be some minor changes to the current hours of service at Udny Station, Rothiemorman and Cuminestown mobile services.
The new timetable for Udny Station, Rothiemorman and Cuminestown which commenced on Tuesday 16 May 2017 are:
Udny Station Mobile Service, Udny Station car park, Udny Station Hotel, Udny Station, Ellon, AB41 6QJ; Tuesday 3pm to 4pm
Rothiemorman Mobile service, Public car park, Main Street, Rothienorman, Inverurie, AB51 8UD, Monday; Wednesday; 9am to 11am and Friday 10:30am to 11:30am
Cuminestown Mobile Service, Parking area, Cuminestown, Turriff, AB53 5JZ, Monday; Wednesday; 1:30pm to 3:30pm; Thursday; 9am to 10am; Friday 1pm to 2pm
The same range of services will continue to be available and customers can still collect benefits in cash using our everyday banking services or Post Office card account.
In order to restore a service to our customers as soon as possible, the new Mobile services commenced for Fyvie and Udny are already in operation. However, the Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the move in a six week public consultation.

The introduction of a mobile outreach presents the best possible solution to allow us to maintain Post Office services in Fyvie and Udny in the longer term.”
During the public consultation, Post Office Ltd welcomes feedback on any issues customers would like considered before a final decision is taken on this proposal.
The consultation will close on Tuesday, August 8.
