The Crichie Community Inn Steering Group is hosting a community information open day on Saturday, November 2.
The event will be held in Stuartfield village hall from 10am to 4pm with the aim of engaging the public as much as possible in the developments of the proposed community purchase of the Crichie Inn.
Steering group committee members will be on hand to provide up-to-date information and answer any queries.
They will also be providing information about the progress towards setting up the Industrial and Provident Society with the responsibility of issuing the community shares.
The feasibility study commissioned by the CCISG has been published and copies will be available for inspection.
Teas and coffees will be available from 10am to 12 noon and 2pm to 4pm with soup and sweet served from 12 noonto 2pm.
There will also be a special raffle for a Christmas hamper as well as other prizes.
Committee chairman, John Ollason, told us: “The raffle will provide folk with a one-off chance to win a 14-day break in Lanzarote in 2014!
“This prize has been generously donated by Kenny and Pauline McDonald.
“In addition we are planning to set up a 200 Club and and people interested will be able to sign up for membership.
“There will also be a kiddies’ corner so that parents can get the chance to browse at their leisure.”
Mr Ollason also called on anyone interested in volunteering at the open day to get in touch.
