Webinars for local business

Business Gateway Aberdeen City and Shire are holding two webinars which aim to help local businesses utilise social media more effectively.

The free online seminars will tackle two burning issues – crisis management and how to measure success.

The first will be on Tuesday, November 13 when business owners can log on to find out what a social media crisis is, how to avoid it and what to do if it happens to them.

On Tuesday, November 20, the Holy Grail of social media will be discussed - measuring success. The webinar will help businesses develop a social media measurement framework that ties into their goals.

Each webinar runs from 12.30pm to 1pm and will be delivered by Becky Desforges, Digital Strategist, at DEER digital.

Andrew Burnett, Operations Director, Business Gateway said: “At Business Gateway we understand that for new and growing businesses, social media can level the playing field in a competitive environment. Social media provides a way to reach out and develop relationships with customers without the barrier of cost or infrastructure.

“We also understand that business owners are extremely busy and that it can be difficult for them to physically attend a training course due to distance, time restraints and even the weather. By streaming the webinar live into users’ homes or offices we avoid all those problems and it allows us to provide a large audience with relevant content.”

During each session ‘attendees’ will be able to interact with the facilitator and help shape the content of the webinar. They will also be able to submit feedback and request further information from Business Gateway once the session is complete.

To benefit from these web-based interactive seminars, which offer a no-nonsense approach to how to leverage social media channels to support your business objectives, all you need is a computer and an internet connection.

Pre-registration is essential. To attend either or both webinars visit: www.enetrust.com/webinar and follow the simple pre-registration process.
