Aberdeen based recruitment specialists Strategic Resources hosted a themed ‘Casino Night’ on Thursday, (January 29) as a sign of support and gratitude to their oil industry contractors.

As it was a fun night, with real no money being used, it was agreed that person with the largest amount of ‘fun money’ at the end of the night could nominate the charity of their choice and Strategic Resources would donate £300 to the chosen charity.

Lorraine Brady, ably assisted by John Robertson, won the most money. Lorraine chose Gordon Dementia Services, Inverurie as the recipient of the donation, an organisation that supports a cause very close to her heart.

Gordon Dementia Services aims to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for people with dementia. During the week around 50 people with dementia attend the Club from Inverurie and the surrounding area.

They run a full programme of individual and group activities including: crafts; entertainment; gentle exercise; music; reminiscence; social outings and writing therapy.

Strategic Resources is a privately owned company formed in 1987 to provide high calibre personnel to the oil and gas industry.
