An Aberdeenshire charity campaigner will undertake a summer motorcycle marathon across the USA in a new awareness and fundraising venture.
Gordon Cruden will travel 15,000 miles solo through 48 states in 30 days as he tries to highlight the importance of residential support for people struggling with substance misuse.
The charity worker, who lives in Oldmeldrum, will also use the trip to raise funds for the Buy Benaiah, a campaign by Teen Challenge North East Scotland to purchase Benaiah - an addiction recovery centre for women.
Last month the Buy Benaiah campaign had raised £270,000 of the £535,000 needed to buy the Stuartfield recovery home for women and children.
Gordon will begin his American Motorbike Challenge 2016 on June 17 and hopes to finish just under one month later on July 16.
Last year the charity campaigner completed the Euro Bike Challenge which saw him attempt to visit 47 countries, covering a total of 14,000 miles, by motorbike in just 30 days.
Later in 2015 Gordon completed the Hungry for the Homeless and Addicted Challenge, where he voluntarily made himself homeless and slept rough in six cities across 30 days.
