Concert and Book Signing at Gadie’s

Gordon MSP and former First Minister Alex Salmond will be at Gadie’s Restaurant on Friday, April 24, signing copies of his book ‘The Dream Shall Never Die’ and introducing a concert featuring Robyn Stapleton.

The concert featuring Robyn Stapelton, Former BBC Young Musician of the Year 2014, and Alastair Iain Paterson on keyboards, will begin at 8pm, with the book signing preceding it, beginning at 6pm, and a ‘Gadie’s Supper’ available from 7pm. Mr Salmond is a keen fan of Robyn Stapleton and will be present to introduce her and speak about his new book.

Scottish singer Robyn Stapleton was BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2014. Robyn performs the traditional songs of her Scottish and Irish heritage, in the Scots, English and Gaelic language. She is described as having one of the finest voices in Scottish music, with a uniquely pure tone, wonderful control and an empathy and sensitivity for traditional songs.

Her first album, entitled Fickle Fortune, will be released in Spring 2015.
