An Ellon and District Councillor restarted her monthly surgeries in the town last weekend.

Councillor Gillian Owen has restarted her monthly Saturday surgeries.

Councillor Owen said: “I enjoy being in the Square and meeting people. It’s great to catch up with the many residents who say hello yet there can be a more serious side when people need help.

“On Saturday I actually needed my husbands help as I have fractured my right arm, so he had to make notes for me!

“Surgeries are important as they give the locals an opportunity to meet up with me to discuss any issues they may have. I also hold a 30 minutes surgery after every Area Committee, venues in and around the Ward.”

Mrs Owen will be available in the Square on the first Saturday of the month up to and including October.

She will also hold surgeries at Ellon Academy, Newburgh Mathers School, as well as Ythanbank.
