Cats Protection Inverurie and Alford branch, hosted a Joint Charities and Craft Sale on Saturday, (November 1) in Inverurie Town Hall.

Commenting on the evnet, Jean Wood, co-ordinator of Inverurie and Alford Cats Protection said: “We raised a staggering £1398.67 all of which will be used locally to help cats and kittens in our care.

“The event went very well, the ‘tea ladies’ were run off their feet keeping up with demand.

“Cats Protection goods sold very well, the tombola stalls were very popular as were the home bakes.”

Also on the day author Mike Gibb launched his brand new children’s book ‘Anna’s Adventures in Wonderland’, and was on hand to sign copies.
