Police are appealingl for information following an intruder incident in Kemnay.

Police Scotland is investigating an incident that occurred about 1pm on Saturday, November 12, at a residential property on Church Lane, Kemnay.

A male entered an insecure property and on being disturbed by the occupant, he threatened the female occupant before running out of the property. Nothing was stolen.

The male is described as about 14 to 18 years old, about 5'7" tall and thin build. He was wearing a light grey hooded top with a red high neck top underneath and light coloured trousers. He was last seen running up Church Lane towards Kemnay Church Hall.

Constable Graeme Allan Inverurie Community Policing Team said: "This is a very unusual crime for the Kemnay area. Although the lady was uninjured by the incident she was badly shaken and I am keen to trace the individual. I would ask that anyone with information about this incident contact police.

"I would also remind homeowners not only lock their doors and windows when leaving their property unoccupied but also to keep their doors locked when inside to avoid anyone sneaking in."

Any person who has seen a male fitting this description or any other relevant information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
