A NORTH-EAST legal firm has appointed an associate solicitor at its Ellon office.

Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace says the recruitment of Jamie Nixon will consolidate the team representing private and commercial clients. The firm adds that the addition to the branch is a direct response to increased demand and provides Ellon and the surrounding areas with two full-time solicitors to serve the local community.

Mr Nixon completed his training in Peterhead before becoming branch solicitor at an office in Fraserburgh. He is moving from another firm in the area.

Originally from the Central Belt, he has made Ellon his home for the last 12 years where he has settled with his wife and family.

He said: “I’m looking forward to joining a firm that I have long respected, especially in an area I have come to know as home.

“I will be dealing in all aspects of residential house purchases and sales, re-mortgages and private client matters including wills, trusts, executries and powers of attorney.

“In conjunction with the firm’s specialist teams in Aberdeen, I will also be able to advise clients on matters involving family law, civil litigation and commercial law”.

Graham Robertson, branch partner in Ellon, said: “We are delighted Jamie has joined us where he is a welcome addition to the branch.”
