Police investigate car theft

GRAMPIAN Police is investigating the theft of computer equipment and a motor vehicle from the Ellon area of Aberdeenshire.

The incident occurred between midnight and 8 am on Sunday 26 August, at a house in the Ythan Place area of Ellon.

As a result of the incident, a quantity of computer equipment and a silver coloured Fiat Punto car, registration number ST54 AXG, valued at a low four-figure sum were stolen.

Investigating Officer PC Andy Ramsay said, “Thefts of this type are rare and particularly unusual in this area and I would urge anyone who is offered computer equipment for sale to contact the police.
