A 17-year-old has been charged in relation to an alleged break-in and theft from K & C Jewellers in Ellon earlier this year.

A number of watches were stolen in the incident on Saturday, March 11, and damage totalling a high four figure sum was also caused.

He has also been charged in relation to an alleged theft by housebreaking at Scotsfir Crescent in Ellon on December 9 last year.

Investigating officer DC Gary Johnston said: "Extensive enquiries into these incidents were carried out and we would like to thank members who assisted us while the investigation was ongoing."

The teen will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
