The fun kicked-off at 11am and luckily the weather was sunny and warm enough to attract a large crowd.

A sudden downpour in the afternoon threatened to ruin the fun but spirits weren’t dampened and attendees took shelter in the beer tent and the tea and coffee stall.

There was the usual activities including football andnetball tournaments, inflatable fun including zorb football, bungee trampolines, a host of stalls, fun fair rides, a Kung Fu display and live music from local singers and band Gleadhriach.

The Ellon British Legion Pipe Band played a number of tunes to the delight of the crowd.
