A recruitment drive held in Ellon last week has been hailed a resounding success according to employers.
Around 50 people from the town attended the event and over 10 candidates were offered jobs afterwards.
Opportunities for jobs with Aberdeenshire Council, NHS Grampian, as well as the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were available at the event.
Aberdeenshire Council recruitment officer Hilary Dow said she was very pleased with how the event had went.
She said: “ We had 50 people through the door and as a result of the event 13 people will provisionally be offered posts subject to reference and disclosure checks.”
Held at the Kirk Centre, from 10am to 3pm, last Wednesday, the event aimed to offer candidates the chance to find out more about the jobs available in the local area.
Organisers were available to chat to people about the area of work they were interested in before guiding them to the relevant person where they could find out more.
A display board up at the back room allowed candidates the opportunity to view posts currently available in and around Ellon.
Jobs available included homecarers, school crossing patrollers, cleaners, nursing roles and health care support workers.
This was the second event of its kind involving the three bodies.
The first event was held in Stonehaven last month.
