Dial-a-Community Bus and its sister Social Enterprise; DAB Plus c.i.c are actively seeking some new board members to boost the team of volunteer trustees.

Dial-a-Community Bus (DACB) is a busy community transport charity working in the Buchan area and in Aberdeen City.

DACB started life as a small community group in Maud working with off-duty police officers and a borrowed Social Work minibus but over the years it has built the organisation to its current levels of 11 buses and thousands of passenger journeys for the most vulnerable people in Aberdeen city and Buchan.

In 2007 the charity opened an independent Social Enterprise DAB Plus to earn income which then feeds into the charity in order to increase its sustainability. DACB/DAB Plus is looking at further growth and development over the next few years and as such is looking to strengthen its board with additional members.

The group is looking for people with business skills such as Finance, Management and Business Development as well as from more community minded individuals.

If you would like to help the group, get in touch with them at Unit 7&B Community Service Centre, Market Street, Maud, or call them on (01771) 619191.
