Arnage School hosted their daffodil tea recently at the school.
PTA Chairperson, Emma Dawson said that the event was “packed to the rafters with cake, sandwiches and fun spring time nature crafts for children to enjoy.”
Pupils sold their own daffodils grown from home, as well as a surprise jar stall and plenty of raffle prizes ensured that the crowds were kept happy.
Emma added: “The playgroup also contributed with a fantastic stall for children to pit their wits against a giant chicken laying the fastest flowing eggs in the area.
“Even though the event clashed with a certain day of rugby matches, the money raised exceeded expectations.”
The event saw the school raise around £270 and over £90 for the playgroup.
She continued: “Both of which will be making substantial donations to Marie Curie cancer care.
“Thanks to all those who supported the event and to the businesses who donated much appreciated raffle prizes, amongst them; Harts and Crafts, Delica and Better Read books.”
